24BOTTLES X Vivienne Westwood

24Bottles is an Italian design company founded in Bologna in 2013 by Giovanni Randazzo and Matteo Melotti. They produce stainless steel drinking bottles that combine sustainability and design. The practical shape and the numerous attractive motifs of 24Bottles make the bottles unique and long-lasting companions for sports, shopping or whatever you plan to do.

Therefore it wasn't a surprise when in 2017  24Bottles announced a collaboration with Vivienne Westwood who spoke out tirelessly about the effects of climate change and over-consumption, while mobilising international attention around ecological crusading. 

For the Bottle Climate Revolution campaign, they launched a limited-edition design carrying Westwood’s signature call to action for environmental activism.

The debut was celebrated with an exclusive event at the Vivienne Westwood store in Milan, where I bought my Clima Bottle Orb Black in 2023. 

While it is of course important to stay hydrated all year round, it is even more vital in the summer. When it's warm, I move many activities outside, and as for me, I always carry water with me. At home, I fill my thermos flasks directly from the tap, but when traveling, I am cautious and check the drinking water quality if in doubt.

I own a couple of reusable cups and bottles, but the 24Bottles bottle is my favorite for water. The wide mouth of the bottle is suitable for ice cubes and keeps my water fresh up to 24 hours. 

The dark green bottle bag made of genuine leather, which I discovered in a secondhand shop last year, is a constant companion for my 24 Bottles bottle.

True to the designer's intention, the bag protects the bottle so I can enjoy it for a long time and it looks damn cool too!

The ongoing collaboration proves to us that commitment to sustainability, bold design, and meaningful activism definitely go well together: 

Fashion and function can coexist while promoting a more conscious lifestyle.
