Tartan White Dress Royal Stewart

My search is over, I've finally found the perfect Scottish tartan kilt! I decided on a “dress tartan”. Visually not quite as common as the usual tartans, but perfect for me. I didn't want a schoolgirl mini skirt, but a classic knee-length kilt, in the typical "wrap" style.

The Scottish checks are already 'edgy' because of their historical and fashion statement, but kilts also reminds me of my school days.

I wanted a kilt made from a tailor that would last a long time in terms of quality and fit in with the rest of my wardrobe. That is the case here.

The colors match my black t-shirts, blouses and turtleneck sweaters. I can wear the kilt with my ballet flats which happen to be similar to Ghillies.

Of course they also match my patent leather boots, which I have in black, red and white aswell as with all my Dr. Martens. 

My combination of choice is of course with my motorcycle leather jacket, but I can also wear the kilt with my rain trench coats or my wool coats. And if I ever feel totally absurd, I can wear it over jeans and combine it with Converse Chucks!! 

I took my measurements and sent them to the tailor, and with any luck the kilt will be ready before I go to Italy.

So the search for the perfect kilt is over, but the interest in Scotland remains.
